Joan has worked in the advertising industry in St. Louis for more than 20 years, and has developed strategies for some of the world’s best brands. Her expertise in brand identity, retail merchandising, visual communications and new media has benefited clients that have includedCoca-Cola, Nestle Food Service, Gateway Computers, Jim Beam Brands,International Truck and Engine, and Verizon Wireless. Most notably, while working as a creative director for a privately-held agency in St. Louis, she lead a team of creatives on the Nike Retail account for nine years.
Her education began during high school, when she attended a tech school and studied graphic design. She moved on to Parsons School of Design in New York and also studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Florence, Italy, through Syracuse University.
Her love of simple, clean design and typography and her ability to be a comprehensive and strategic thinker is evident in all her work. Her years of media buying experience is instrumental in cutting budgets.
In her spare time Joan rides, trains and shows hunter/jumper horses and is involved in the rehabilitation of retired thoroughbred race horses.
